Education and Recovery: when learning brings peace of mind

Education and Recovery: when learning brings peace of mind - Rise of Ukraine

We are embarking on something very important. Something that will give children and adults more support, attention, and inner warmth.
Education and Recovery is about supportive education and care that helps people recover from difficult experiences.

Our task is simple and at the same time significant: to create safe spaces for learning, to support families affected by war, and to give children the opportunity to feel more confident — in their knowledge, emotions, and future.

This project covers children and adults from different communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region — those who have recently moved, those who have suffered from attacks, and those who are experiencing the war with additional challenges.
Our goal is for every person, regardless of their circumstances, to have a piece of stability and a feeling that they are not alone.

What we do in Education and Recovery

We combine several areas that work together:

Education
We create spaces for informal learning — at the HUB and in communities.
We hold meetings, classes, courses, creative sessions — everything that helps children discover new things and regain their self-confidence.
We also provide children with educational kits so that learning remains accessible in all circumstances.

Safe places
We support schools and communities in setting up comfortable shelters where children can continue their education even during times of unrest.
We also hold creative Art&Mind sessions there, which help children talk about their emotions through drawing and play.

Psychological support
The Rise Hub will have special rooms for individual and group meetings with psychologists.
This is a space where children can talk about their experiences and receive support from people who understand them.

Our courses: a place where children find themselves

The educational part of the project is a separate little country of opportunities.
We are launching various courses so that every child can find something for themselves:

✨ Media literacy — about critical thinking, truth, fakes, and your own content.
✨ French — about new sounds, culture, and inspiring first phrases.
✨ Financial literacy — about money, values, and first adult decisions.
✨ Soft Skills — about communication, emotions, teamwork, and confidence.
✨ VR classes — about technologies that open up other worlds.
✨ English — about live communication and small victories in language.
✨ Robotics — about technology, logic, and small robots that children create themselves.
✨ Cybersecurity — about how to feel safe in the online world.

These are not strict lessons. These are meetings where you can try new things, ask questions, make friends, and feel that everything is working out.

How to sign up

If any of the courses appeal to you, we will be happy to see your child at our HUB.

You can sign up by:
📩 emailing us at info@riseofukraine.com,
💬 messaging us on Instagram Rise (@rise_dnipro),
👋 or simply contacting the HUB administrator.

We will help you choose a course and guide you through the schedule.

Education as a means of recovery

Education and Recovery is not about “completing a program.”
It is about helping children and adults regain stability, faith, curiosity, and inner strength.

We are very happy to walk this path together with the community — step by step, care by care, knowledge by knowledge.
Where there is support and security, there is always room for growth.

The Education and Recovery project is implemented as part of the EMPOWER project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in cooperation with the European Union and implemented by GIZ Ukraine.
