Every day we feel unbearable pain from the news and realize how many more similar events we have to go through. In addition, we are constantly thinking about how many people need our help and how we can help them today.

For the continuous operation of any charitable foundation, we need constant support from donors, partners and citizens. Partners can provide financial assistance, grants, or sponsorship, which allows foundations to expand their activities and help those in need more.

For example, in May 2023, Rise of Ukraine received significant support from partners under the Resilience program, which allowed us to expand our activities and help more, better and on a regular basis.

The Resilience Program is a project funded by the European Union and implemented by the NGO ERIM in partnership with the Black Sea Trust, the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting, the Eastern Europe Foundation, the Human Rights House Foundation, and the Human Rights House in Tbilisi.

The project aims to strengthen the resilience and effectiveness of war-affected CSOs and civil society actors affected by the war in Ukraine, including independent media and human rights defenders.

It is with the support of partners that the Rise of Ukraine team visits the de-occupied territories of Kherson and Donetsk regions with humanitarian missions.

As of the end of June 2023, more than 400 families living in these de-occupied territories have already received assistance. And 130 school kits with stationery, toys and sweets have been delivered to children living there.

In addition, hundreds of thousands of people were forced to leave their homes and start a new life in a new city. Those who found shelter in Dnipro’s shelters received humanitarian aid from the foundation with basic necessities and professional medical advice from a doctor.

360 families received food, hygiene products and had the opportunity to attend 2 consultations on their health, prescription of treatment and referrals to other specialists from our doctor.

Unfortunately, the number of victims of the war is growing every day. And the goal of the Rise of Ukraine team is to help as many people as possible, and this is possible thanks to partnership, support and cooperation.

Providing assistance to internally displaced persons and citizens living in the de-occupied territories of Ukraine helps to strengthen public solidarity and cooperation. Assistance to them is a manifestation of humanitarian responsibility and respect for the human rights to protection and a decent standard of living.

This publication was prepared within the framework of the project “Emergency Support to Civil Society and Media in Response to the War in Ukraine” with the support of the European Union. Its contents are the sole responsibility of Rise of Ukraine and do not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union.

Everything will be with Rise.
