Childhood should be warm, bright and full of development opportunities. But what do you do when even this basic comfort becomes a luxury due to war? We knew we had to act.

In the Kharkiv region, in the Lozova city, our team received a request for help. A local kindergarten, damaged by shelling, needed immediate renovation so little ones could study and dream in safety again. And we immediately got to work!

What did we do?
🛠 We renovated the entrance so young visitors could feel convenient and comfortable.
🛠 We installed a ramp because inclusion is not just a word, it is our goal.
🛠 We replaced the windows so that the rooms would be filled with warmth and comfort.
🛠 We partially equipped the premises with equipment that will help children learn, play and explore the world.

Kharkiv region is one of the most vulnerable regions of Ukraine. Damaged infrastructure, danger and constant stress – this is what the residents here face. But children, even in these conditions, deserve the best.

Our project is not just a repair. It is a hope for parents that their children will be safe. This is a place where little ones can laugh, learn and be happy again.

What’s next?
We do not stop and continue to help communities even in the most difficult times. Because every child in Ukraine has the right to a safe and comfortable childhood.

We sincerely thank all partners for their support, especially Helvetas and Swiss Solidarity. Together we are changing reality for the better!

Dream Championship: How Football Helped Raise UAH 300,000 for Children’s Summer Camp
Sometimes the most important score of a match is not displayed on the scoreboard. You can see it in the people who come together around a shared purpose. In the donations made between halves. In teams that step onto the field for more than just victory. And in children’s dreams that become a little closer […]

The Team That Holds the Process Together
The Team That Holds the Process Together Charitable organizations tend to talk about outcomes. The number of aid deliveries, the volume of assistance provided, the projects completed. Far less often does the focus fall on the people behind those processes — the ones who weave them into the fabric of daily work. At Rise of […]

How Changes in Space Transform Everyday Life: the Rise of Shelter Project in Dnipro
In Dnipro, there is a place where people learn how to move forward after being forced to relocate. The “Dzherelo Pidtrymky” shelter has been hosting internally displaced persons for nearly four years and, for many, has become a temporary home. With the financial support of Hungarian Interchurch Aid, we implemented the Rise of Shelter project […]

Fedir Samburskyi, call sign “Shkiper,” speaks about his journey without any attempt to simplify it or frame it through easy formulas. Pavlo: A Story About a Childhood That Has to Be Rebuilt
Pavlo is eleven. He is from Kharkiv — a city where a significant part of his life remains: training sessions, performances, first victories, and the familiar environment that shapes a child far more than it might seem. Before the full-scale invasion, his days were filled with activity. He sang, competed in regional contests, won prizes, […]
Balloons That Survived the War
Balloons That Survived the War
Before the war, Liudmyla Vynnyk lived in a small town called Novovorontsovka in the Kherson region. The kind of place where people know each other by name, where celebrations always begin with decorated halls, children’s smiles, and colorful balloons drifting slowly up toward the ceiling. Those balloons became her life’s work. As far back as […]
