September at V.Rise Hub: A Month of Support, Meetings, and New Opportunities
September at V.Rise Hub was filled with meetings, consultations, and events. Throughout the month, psychologists, career counselors, lawyers, case managers, lecturers, and invited experts joined the Hub’s work, while veterans, veteran women, and their family members came to us with their questions, plans, and ideas.
In total, 123 people received support in September. We provided 161 individual consultations, held 3 group psychological sessions, and organized 7 events. Seven specialists and lecturers contributed to the Hub’s work.
Psychological Support
Psychological support is one of the key areas of V.Rise Hub’s work. In September, we held 72 individual psychological consultations, while 8 people took part in three group sessions.
During the group sessions, participants discussed anxiety, emotions, thoughts, and physical reactions. They learned to better recognize their own state and explored practical ways to support themselves. These meetings also provided an opportunity to work with practical tools while spending time with people who may have had similar experiences.
Our specialist Vladyslava Bairak led psychological and psychoeducational sessions, including group meetings and training sessions.

Career Consultations
Returning to civilian life often comes with professional questions: What comes next? How can military experience be reinterpreted? Which skills can be transferred to a new professional field?
In September, we held 21 career consultations, providing support to 16 people.
During individual sessions, participants had an opportunity to reflect on their professional experience, identify their strengths, and define their next steps.
Legal Support and Case Management
In September, V.Rise Hub’s legal team received 25 requests for assistance. Another important area of our work is case management, through which 16 people received support.
Behind every request is a specific life situation. Our task is to help a person understand their needs, navigate the available options, and identify the most appropriate next steps for further support.
Meetings, Learning, and Creative Practices
In September, the Hub offered more than individual consultations. We held educational, psychological, and creative meetings that brought people together around different topics and formats.
These included psychological training sessions, art therapy practices, financial literacy meetings, and other activities. In total, 7 events were held throughout the month, with 32 participants taking part.
One of these events was a mosaic-making session led by Oleksandra Moshnyk, with Kateryna and Ihor Filippov also joining the session. Participants created their own artworks while discussing how creative activities can help reduce tension, shift attention, and create space for emotions.
Financial literacy was another area covered during the month. Roman Kolomiiets, a practicing investor and author of the “Finance and Systematic Approach” project, helped participants look at their personal finances more systematically and explore approaches to making financial decisions.

Behind Every Number Are People
For us, the results of the month are first and foremost about the people who came to V.Rise Hub with their questions and stayed for a consultation, meeting, or training session.
They are also about the specialists who shared their knowledge and experience, helped people work through challenging situations, and contributed to creating an atmosphere where important things could be discussed openly and comfortably.
We are grateful to Vladyslava Bairak, Oleksandra Moshnyk, Kateryna and Ihor Filippov, Roman Kolomiiets, and all the specialists who contributed to V.Rise Hub’s work in September.

There are more meetings, consultations, learning opportunities, and new activities ahead. We continue working for veterans, veteran women, and their families, gradually filling V.Rise Hub with the people, stories, and work that this space was created for.
