Rise of Ukraine Joins the European ART4MENTAL Project

Rise of Ukraine Charitable Foundation has become one of the participants in the international ART4MENTAL project — a European initiative funded by the EU’s Creative Europe programme, bringing together partners from Ukraine and across the European Union.

The project officially launched in Warsaw during the kick-off meeting and press conference, where consortium partners aligned on the key priorities and collaboration framework for the next 24 months.

ART4MENTAL is an interdisciplinary project at the intersection of art, mental health, and digital technologies. Its goal is to explore how creative practices and immersive tools — particularly virtual reality (VR) — can support emotional well-being, recovery, and social inclusion.

The project will focus on:

• developing new formats of VR-based art therapy;
• creating educational programmes for artists, psychologists, and professionals working in related fields;
• organising international workshops, training sessions, public events, and exhibitions;
• supporting vulnerable groups, young people, internally displaced persons, and local communities.

One of the key upcoming stages of the project will be an open call for artists, where 20 participants (10 from Ukraine and 10 from EU countries) will have the opportunity to join a professional development programme and create their own projects. The total grant fund for this initiative amounts to €100,000.
