This year, the Rise of Ukraine team has done what others would call a miracle – they have presented a winter fairy tale to more than 800 children! For the third year in a row, we have been creating New Year’s magic for kids: children of IDPs, military personnel, large families, sheltered housing residents and young residents of Dnipro.

Our celebration began with a real fairy-tale quest conducted by Santa and Snowflake. The kids plunged into the world of magical tasks, challenges and riddles. They had to show dexterity, imagination and team spirit. And, of course, everyone did a great job!

And then came the main event – the ice extravaganza! There was so much laughter and joy at the rink! The children slid, spun, fell and got up again, because this is part of the magic of winter ice. For some of them it was their first steps on skates, while others were already skillfully performing their “axels”. But it didn’t matter how much experience they had – the sparkle in their eyes and the joy in their hearts were important.

🎁 Gifts for everyone
A New Year’s holiday without gifts is not about us. We could not leave our little guests without surprises! Each participant received a legendary board game – Monopoly, Twister or Farm. Our Rise elves packed these gifts with incredible love and care, because they remembered how they used to play these games with their families in the evenings.

💙 Our gratitude
We are immensely grateful to our American partners In God’s Hand, thanks to whom this amazing holiday became a reality. Your support is a real magic that brings warmth and joy to children even in the most difficult times.

✨ Magic in every detail
Special thanks to our friends from the Elf art studio for the wonderful animators who turned an ordinary day into a real holiday. And the magical location from the Lavina amusement park was the perfect place for a winter fairy tale.

Even the weather, which reminded us of itself with a light rain at the end of the holiday, did not spoil the mood. We moved part of the program under the roof of the rink, and the kids continued to have fun as if nothing had happened.

Together with you, we proved that on cold winter days, it is the warmth of hearts that makes miracles happen. Thank you to everyone who took part in our New Year’s story. May the magic of this holiday live in the hearts of each of us!

Let’s create amazing moments together with Rise of Ukraine! 💙💛

The Team That Holds the Process Together Charitable organizations tend to talk about outcomes. The number of aid deliveries, the volume of assistance provided, the projects completed. PROSTONEBA: An Experience That Translates Into Results The PROSTONEBA festival, which the Rise of Ukraine team has been hosting for several consecutive years, has gradually taken shape as an event with a clear internal logic. How Changes in Space Transform Everyday Life: the Rise of Shelter Project in Dnipro
In Dnipro, there is a place where people learn how to move forward after being forced to relocate. The “Dzherelo Pidtrymky” shelter has been hosting internally displaced persons for nearly four years and, for many, has become a temporary home. With the financial support of Hungarian Interchurch Aid, we implemented the Rise of Shelter project […]

Fedir: An Experience That Has to Be Accepted and Lived Through
Fedir Samburskyi, call sign “Shkiper,” speaks about his journey without any attempt to simplify it or frame it through easy formulas. For him, this experience does not add up to a single story that can be briefly retold — it looks more like a sequence of decisions and states that a person has to remain […]

Pavlo: A Story About a Childhood That Has to Be Rebuilt
Pavlo is eleven. He is from Kharkiv — a city where a significant part of his life remains: training sessions, performances, first victories, and the familiar environment that shapes a child far more than it might seem. Before the full-scale invasion, his days were filled with activity. He sang, competed in regional contests, won prizes, […]

Balloons That Survived the War
Before the war, Liudmyla Vynnyk lived in a small town called Novovorontsovka in the Kherson region. The kind of place where people know each other by name, where celebrations always begin with decorated halls, children’s smiles, and colorful balloons drifting slowly up toward the ceiling. Those balloons became her life’s work. As far back as […]

A Hearing Aid and a New Chapter in Artem’s Life
Everyday life is full of sounds that people usually don’t even notice. The rustle of grass underfoot, children’s laughter in the yard, quiet conversations at home, or the familiar voice of a mother speaking to her child. For most of us, these things are so natural that we almost never stop to think about them. […]
