Photo exhibition «The price of life»: Kiel saw the truth about Ukraine 🇺🇦

The world has no right to turn away. Our fourth photo exhibition «The Price of Life» opened in Kiel, Kherson’s sister city, to once again remind us of the tragedy that Ukraine is experiencing.
These are not just photographs. These are stories of people who have lost everything, but have not lost faith. Kherson region is a symbol of resilience, a region that has withstood the occupation, the horror of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station explosion, constant shelling, but continues to live and fight.
We had the honor of presenting the exhibition on the anniversary of the partnership between Kiel and Kherson. Together with the Germans and Ukrainians who came to the opening, we once again remembered what our country is fighting for.
📸 The author of the photos is Alexander Tolokonnikov, who captured what cannot be described in words: destroyed homes, streets that no longer exist, people who have lost everything, but have not lost their dignity.
We are sincerely grateful to the city of Kiel and its residents for their support, to the mayor of Kiel, Bettina Ost, for her warm welcome, to the Consul General of Ukraine in Hamburg, Iryna Tybinka, for her constant assistance, and to the police union of the state of Schleswig-Holstein for their constant support of Kherson and Ukraine.
Thank you to everyone who came, listened, sympathized, and supported. Who donated, who shared our story, who did not stay away.
We will continue to remind the world that the fight continues. Ukraine is strong, and the world should know it!
Telling the truth together with Rise! 💙💛
