Project «Rise for help»: care and support where it is needed most
In these difficult times, our Found Rise of Ukraine is implementing the project «Rise for Help» to help those most affected by the war. Our task is not only to meet the basic needs of people, but also to give them hope and support.
Who are we here for? We support the most vulnerable people: people with disabilities, people with limited mobility, single mothers and fathers, large families, children of IDPs, children of combatants, women belonging to military families, and those who were forced to leave their homes.
The project covers different communities in the Dnipro and Kharkiv regions, covering both large cities and remote settlements. Each of these regions has its own special needs, and we strive to reach out to everyone, providing the necessary assistance where it is really needed.
What exactly are we doing? Understanding the situation, we collected information about the most critical needs of the communities through a survey. This allowed us to determine what people need most:
- Food and hygiene products, because without them it is impossible to ensure normal living conditions.
- Warm clothes and household items to support people in the winter.
- Shelters and safe places to protect themselves during shelling, which is especially important for communities located near the war zone.
- Power banks, lanterns and thermoses for families with children and families with many children so that they have access to basic amenities during forced power outages.
Children and women need special attention
Children and teenagers are in particular need of support in these difficult times. At our HUB in Dnipro, we organized art therapy courses and karate classes for IDP children and children of combatants. This is not only creative and physical development, but also an opportunity to find new friends and support among peers. In addition, we organize a series of drawing workshops for women from IDP and military families to help them relieve stress and maintain their emotional state during this difficult time.
Why is it important? Today, because of the fighting, many people are left without access to the most basic necessities. We see that our project can be the support that is often lacking in general assistance programs. The Rise for Help project is special because we act in a targeted and flexible way – from sending warm blankets to organizing free classes for children.
Open up new opportunities with Rise! 💙💛
Together we make this world a little warmer and safer by providing those in need with the necessary support and the opportunity to find joy in simple things again.
