The Rise of Ukraine train of good deeds is gaining spring momentum ЁЯЪВ

And here’s what we managed to do in April ЁЯСА

A lot of work within the framework of the @yednanniazaradydii programme for IDPs 30+, namely:

ЁЯТб Workshop from a relocated business: we listened to stories from 3 incredible women who were not afraid to start over in Dnipro. Each story was inspiring and became an example of how important it is not to give up and follow your passion.

ЁЯСйЁЯП╝тАНЁЯТ╗ Useful SPEED JOB INTERVIEWS – dates where you are not looking for love, but for a great job. Speed dating with top employers in Dnipro took place here: 7 minutes for each person to find out about vacancies, conditions, tell about themselves and hear if their hearts respond.
We are happy to announce that the first meetings have already taken place, so working love does exist ЁЯСМЁЯП╗

ЁЯСйЁЯП╗тАНЁЯОи 2 workshops on painting on canvas – to indulge in creativity and forget about the news, worries and the world around you for a few hours. Such events are very important for psychological support and relief for our fragile women. And they give additional comfort to their homes, because all the painted pictures go home with them ЁЯТЭ

ЁЯЧг 8 Ukrainian and English conversation clubs – it’s not too late to improve your knowledge at any age, and our meetings prove it. Here, no one is afraid to make a mistake, but on the contrary, they support and help in learning new things ЁЯлВ

ЁЯЦ╝ Excursions to the Vadym Sidura Museum and the Dnipro Art Museum – we learned about the talented artists of our region and saw their talents with our own eyes. Even the air raid didn’t stop us from continuing the tour in a safe place. This is what it means to have a thirst for art ЁЯдМЁЯП╗

ЁЯСйЁЯП╗тАНЁЯПл A lecture on “How to create a CV?” and on IT – we got to know the world of the future and learnt the secrets of how to get there. This is a great opportunity to try a new industry and understand how everything works there.

ЁЯУ╜ Watching and discussing films in English and Ukrainian – not only children can have fun. Parents also need to relax, but it’s also good to learn a little. In this way, by combining them, we wrote down new words in our dictionaries and crossed barriers in communication.

We did this with our favourite kids at the HAB:

ЁЯСзЁЯП╗ We held 7 creative workshops: together with the children, we painted plaster figures, made beaded jewellery, created mandalas, slides and various 3D art. To loud laughter, of course.

ЁЯОи We have graduated 32 creators from the “School of Little Van Goghs” course – the paintings are finished and ready to conquer the art world. Every time we are very proud of these little talents and believe in their great future.

ЁЯЩГ We played the educational games “100=1” and “Lisa and her friends travel the world” – who said it was impossible to combine these two things? When the pros get involved, everything goes at the highest level.

ЁЯУЪ We have launched a new stream of the English School with Rise course, because today’s life is impossible without knowledge of a foreign language. Therefore, everyone is studying hard and is already showing their first achievements.

ЁЯОЮ We held 2 movie nights with delicious corn sticks – to make your soul feel good and have fun with new friends.

And outside the Rise Universe, we visited the Rise with the kids:

ЁЯОм Our favourite friends from @planetakino and watched “Kung Fu Panda 4” and “Dragon Slayer”

ЁЯНЯ The most delicious @mcdonaldsukraine and together with 22 children of IDPs and military personnel ate a Happy Meal

And the world’s best team managed to attend the following trainings and events:
ЁЯУМ Crowdfunding accelerator – “CITY OF CHANGE”
ЁЯУМ Online webinar “FSLC harmonisation and deduplication of food aid”
ЁЯУМ Educational forum from the Logos Educational Holding and the Dnipro Regional Military Administration
ЁЯУМ 4-day H.E.A.T. training “Rules of conduct in a hostile environment”
ЁЯУМNational coordination meeting of the Food Security and Livelihoods Cluster (FSC) partners
ЁЯУМ Training “Project management”
for the education cluster with the support of Save the Children
ЁЯУМ Training “Teamwork. Counteracting professional burnout”

Forward to May with Rise ЁЯТЩЁЯТЫ

The Team That Holds the Process Together
The Team That Holds the Process Together Charitable organizations tend to talk about outcomes. The number of aid deliveries, the volume of assistance provided, the projects completed. Far less often does the focus fall on the people behind those processes — the ones who weave them into the fabric of daily work. At Rise of […]

How Changes in Space Transform Everyday Life: the Rise of Shelter Project in Dnipro
In Dnipro, there is a place where people learn how to move forward after being forced to relocate. The “Dzherelo Pidtrymky” shelter has been hosting internally displaced persons for nearly four years and, for many, has become a temporary home. With the financial support of Hungarian Interchurch Aid, we implemented the Rise of Shelter project […]

Fedir: An Experience That Has to Be Accepted and Lived Through
Fedir Samburskyi, call sign “Shkiper,” speaks about his journey without any attempt to simplify it or frame it through easy formulas. For him, this experience does not add up to a single story that can be briefly retold — it looks more like a sequence of decisions and states that a person has to remain […]

Pavlo: A Story About a Childhood That Has to Be Rebuilt
Pavlo is eleven. He is from Kharkiv — a city where a significant part of his life remains: training sessions, performances, first victories, and the familiar environment that shapes a child far more than it might seem. Before the full-scale invasion, his days were filled with activity. He sang, competed in regional contests, won prizes, […]
Balloons That Survived the War
Balloons That Survived the War
Before the war, Liudmyla Vynnyk lived in a small town called Novovorontsovka in the Kherson region. The kind of place where people know each other by name, where celebrations always begin with decorated halls, children’s smiles, and colorful balloons drifting slowly up toward the ceiling. Those balloons became her life’s work. As far back as […]
