Rise of Ukraine — Laureate of the National Competition “Charitable Ukraine”
We have news we want to share with everyone who is part of Rise of Ukraine.
On June 9, 2026, the awards ceremony of the 19th National Competition “Charitable Ukraine – 2025: Philanthropy in Defence of Ukraine” took place in Kyiv. And among the laureates is our foundation. Rise of Ukraine has been awarded 3rd place in the category “Innovations in Charitable Activities.”
We are genuinely happy. And deeply grateful.
About the Competition
“Charitable Ukraine” is more than a competition. It is the only active nationwide project recognizing the most effective charitable initiatives in Ukraine, with a history dating back to 2007. This year, the National Expert Council received 1,698 applications — from charitable foundations, civil society organizations, volunteer initiatives, businesses, educational, medical, and social projects from across Ukraine and abroad. Winners were determined in 28 categories.
The top award is a unique amber statuette — the “Angel of Goodness” — informally known as Ukraine’s “Oscar of philanthropy.” Laureates of the second and third places receive special diplomas. We received a diploma. And for us, it carries no less meaning.
What This Recognition Means to Us
The “Innovations in Charitable Activities” category recognizes approaches that go beyond convention. And we genuinely try to find them — not to be “modern,” but because the people we support deserve the most effective solutions we can offer.
What stands behind this recognition:
Psychological support and mental health programs — individual and group, for women, children, and those who have endured too much. ART4MENTAL — a space where art therapy becomes a genuine tool for recovery, not simply an add-on. The Championship of Dreams — where children displaced by war get to be simply children again, competing, laughing, and dreaming. Educational programs in VR and augmented reality for teenagers — because the future is already here, and it must be accessible to everyone. The development of our hub as a living community space: not just a foundation office, but a place people want to return to. New partnerships and collaboration models with businesses and civil society organizations that go beyond standard philanthropy.
For us, innovation is not about technology for its own sake. It is about solutions that make support more accessible, closer, and more human.
This Is a Shared Achievement
Third place in a competition where nearly 1,700 applications were submitted is not an individual award. It is the result of the work of everyone who is part of Rise of Ukraine.
Our team — people who do more every day than their job descriptions require. Our volunteers — without whom half of our projects would not exist. Our partners — organizations and companies who believed in our approach and invested their resources in it. And the participants of our programs — because they are the greatest proof that all of this truly matters.
This recognition belongs to you as much as it does to us.
What Comes Next
This award is not a final milestone. We see it as confirmation that we are moving in the right direction — and as motivation to keep going.
Ahead are new ideas, new programs, new partnerships. And one constant goal: to be present for those who need it, to find better ways to help, and to build a community that holds together.
Thank you. To everyone. For your trust, your support, and for simply being here. We move forward — together. 🤍
