Launch of the “Digital Class” project at the HUB of the “Rise of Ukraine” Charity Foundation
A new important project, “Digital Class”, is being launched in our HUB of the charity organisation, located in Dnipro. The project is aimed at supporting IDP children and other vulnerable categories affected by the full-scale invasion by creating educational opportunities using modern technologies.
What is the “Digital Classroom”?
“The Digital Classroom” is a specially equipped room in our HUB where children will have access to the latest technologies. The aim of the project is to help children catch up on their knowledge through interactive educational programmes using digital technologies.
Why is this necessary?
Since the opening of our HUB in December 2023, we have held classes for over 1000 children. Communicating with parents and children, we learned about problems with motivation to learn and the lack of technical capabilities to obtain quality education. “Digital Class” solves this problem by providing opportunities for learning and development.
What courses will be available?
As part of the project, we plan to implement the following training programmes:
- Digital Illustration – teaching graphic design and creating digital illustrations.
- Cybersecurity and cyberbullying – the basics of internet safety and protection against cyberbullying.
- Photo and video editing – practical skills in creating video and photo content.
These courses will remain available even after the project is completed, continuing to benefit children.
Why do children need it?
This project will not only allow children to gain new knowledge, but also help them develop digital and social skills that are important for the future. Through interactive applications for learning English, Ukrainian, maths and financial literacy, we will help children catch up on their knowledge in these difficult times.
“Digital Classroom” is an investment in the future of our children, who have the right to equal access to quality education and the opportunity to fulfil their potential in the digital world.
The project is implemented with the support of the NGO “Tenth of April”, within the framework of the project ‘Protection of Internally Displaced Persons and Affected Populations, Community Empowerment’ in partnership with the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine.
